As a photographer I like to provide my clients with both traditional and unique shots of their special occasion, whether it be an engagement session, wedding or family photos.  I love to work with natural light and explore many different styles of photography, but never leaving my true gifting.  With my own grandchildren I have explored Lifestyle photography and it is a love that has grown in me.  Black and white photography is a love and a passion.   I also specialize in garden, home and business photography; always ensuring that you receive something that is just a little bit different.

Earlier in my career in photography, I was given the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Avondale Sky Winery for their website and newsletters.  I have also done work for the Chaplaincy of Dykeland Lodge and Grandview Manor in photographing for a brochure.  In 2015 I had the awesome privileged of photography the stages of the Ellershouse Wind farm.  An experience I will not soon forget!

A little about me:

I was born in Halifax, N.S. and raised in the Windsor area. I was married at a young age to Peter Blanchard, who is the love of my life and a great supporter and encourager of my dreams. Shortly after we were married we packed up all of our belongings and headed to the great west for a two year period which turned into a nearly 30 year adventure.

In 2008 we returned to our roots; and now reside in beautiful Ellershouse, N.S.

I have always had in interest in the arts and in particular photography yet never pursued it. Shortly after arriving back to the maritimes a long time friend of my husbands’, Mike Wendt, who is also a photographer and is now my mentor, saw some of my photos that I had posted on Facebook and he began to encourage me and told me that I had an eye for photography and thought I should begin to pursue further into the photography world. Sometime later, Mike invited me to do an exhibition on churches with him. I hesitated at the beginning, but eventually said YES!!
